When it rains...rainbows can appear

After Argos' trip to the vet last Monday the last thing I wanted to find was a lump on Lucius. Of course I worried considering the close proximity to his leg. When you have NGA Greyhounds the fear of Osteo looms overhead like a big, dark storm cloud. Thankfully (knocking on wood and saying happy prayers) his little lump is nothing more than a fatty lipoma. Yay! Nobody tell Lucius that he has a fatty anything though...he is a bit prissy after all.

While we were there we got Argos' and Lucius' heartworm tests, exams, vaccinations, etc done. Now for the other 3 hounds. LG gets everything in the fall time but somehow all of my hounds ended up being due for everything in the spring.

So...5 hounds needing vet care (plus tests for seizures and lumps) = sad, hurt bank account. The silver lining is that so far (knocking on wood again) everyone is doing well and getting good news. :)

On a side note, OSU was contacted about Argos' head tremors. I haven't heard back but I know that Dr. Couto was doing Galgo health studies so I'm sure he is glad to be filled in.
