Welcome home Rocket!

We want to welcome home the newest member of our pack, Honeymoon's Whitesnake, aka Rocket. Rocket is a 3-year-old wire coated Ibizan Hound. We are super thrilled to welcome him to our home! He is coming from Suzi Romine in Oregon. He was returned to her and she thought we would be the perfect home for him. I have wanted a white wire since 2007, so this is a fulfillment of a dream for me. At the end of the day, I always took the dogs that fit our home, regardless of color and coat, but it is exciting to finally have a full fuzzy wire. 

We are grateful for the amazing people that helped him get home. He had a major 4-day cross country adventure to get here!

• He left Oregon on Friday with Tasha. They spent the night in Wyoming.
• On Saturday, Tasha took him to Nebraska, where he was picked up by Quinton (Lori Roberts). He took Rocket to meet Marissa Jo, who kept him overnight in Kansas with his littermate sister Michelle.
• On Sunday, Marissa took him to meet Judy Losey's husband Mike, who graciously took him from Kansas to Tennessee to meet Kathy Lazenby and crew. Their show got canceled due to weather, but they hung around to get him. He spent the night with them.
• They brought him to South Carolina. 

Many, many thanks to Suzi Romine for offering to let him come join us and to the kind and generous people who helped him on his journey. It takes a village, and in this case, the village is spread out across the country and different walks in life. Thank you all.
