Although we had stopped fostering for a while, I could not let this opportunity pass us by. Not long after we lost Lucky Girl I got on to Facebook and I saw this sad, awful picture of a young Dalmatian puppy who was dropped off at the local kill shelter. He was looking for a rescue or else his time was up. He had a hige patch of demodex on his head. :( My heart ached and I could not handle knowing that this sweet boy would be put down. I had rescued Lucky Girl off of death row so it seemed fitting that i go and save him too. The problem was that I could not keep him. We don't need another dog and, quite frankly, I'm not ready for another Dalmatian right now. It was just too soon.
Luckily, Dalmatian Rescue of Southwest Virginia stepped up to the plate. So, I went to pull him and he got to spend nearly a week here while he waited for transport. He was such a love! I adore him!!! He was a "keeper" for sure. If we had less dogs and more time had passed since we lost LG I believe that he would have stayed.
I hope that you find your perfect forever home soon, handsome boy!
