Nova news

In case the handful of you who occasionally look at this blog are counting the calendar days and realizing I have not posted pictures of my new arrival...

Nova is not here yet.

Thanks to a series of irritating events (after 15 phone calls to airlines I hope to not have to call another one again for a long time!) Nova did not arrive on Friday as planned. Delta (and other airlines) would prefer that he ride in a kennel far too big for him (risking injury) from an airport several hours away from home and fly to New Jersey with a layover of 7+ hours before he got on the plane to North Carolina where he would spend a couple more hours in a car.  Needless to say nobody was thrilled with that option.

I spent the entire day trying to find him a way here. Some wonderful people stepped up and offered to do a transport chain. I greatly appreciate their offers. However, Marissa came up with the final solution to our problem (and no, that solution is not to keep Nova in Oklahoma). She and our friend Di will be driving Nova (and any other Beezer that would like a Southern home) to South Carolina at the end of May!

So...Nova will be arriving May 31st with friends. To say that the anticipation is high here is an understatement. I guess that gives me a month to explain to the rest of the dogs why a big-eared bouncy hound is coming to live with us! Ha ha!

So...do any of my local sighthound friends want a Beezer?? Now is the time to let us know. There are several looking for placements (both show/performance prospects and pets).

Now, I think I'm going to re-design this site.

You wouldn't want to see Nova at this moment. it rained all day yesterday and now the dogs are playing in ankle deep mud. Not Pretty-Not Pretty.
