A post all about his trip (and the other Beezers that have stayed at Casa de Bridwell) will follow this one. I'd rather be playing with him than typing and uploading!
He's adjusting to routine really well and taking everything in stride. He's getting along really well with almost everybody. Timmy & Nova are not best friends yet but with some time I'm sure things will fall into place. Nova just thinks he needs to be #2 dog in the pack and Timmy really doesn't want to give that position up. Nova also thinks that he should be Momma's #1 boy and doesn't realize that I have enough love for all of my pups. Timmy is my heart dog so he is taking exception to this. There is no fighting, they just aren't too sure of each other yet. Everybody else is getting along swimmingly with him. Lucky Girl will meet him Sunday.
He went to the vet today to get established as a patient. He's 30" at the shoulder and 65.6lbs so far. He needs a few more pounds (probably 5) because he lost weight due to stress over his trip. He was a trooper. The vet and techs just couldn't get over how handsome and unusual he was. They had never had an Ibizan there before. Dr. Coco assured me that she was going to research all of their health issues/concerns to be up to speed for him. She did the same with Galgos for Argos. They are very sighthound savvy and always willing to learn more so I feel confident that he will receive the best of care.
After the vet we went to Petco where he received a lot of attention. This evening he visited with his Auntie Gina and they enjoyed getting to know each other. He was a good boy and did not eat her Italian Greyhounds. He greeted her Greyhounds nicely and only marked once in the house. He is now happily snoozing after his long day.
