Delilah's vet update:

(Background) Delilah injured herself coursing on December 2. She had a dislocated back toe and a ligament avulsion. On Monday she swelled but she also had a cut up into her pad so the vet said to watch it for a few days and keep her crated. We did that. She went in Friday when there was no improvement. She had to do 8 weeks of crate rest/leash walks only. So, that is almost 9 weeks crated already.

(Current) Today she got rechecked. Her swelling is gone and the bone has calcified. Now we have 2 weeks of long walks, 2 weeks of light jogging, and then we can go get the clearance from the vet to run. Best of all, she has clearance to play inside with the Beezers again! Yay! She has been missing play time. She is a very high energy Greyhound (nearly Beezer energy!) and it was rough on her (and us!) but she's on the road to recovery. :) The vet was optimistic that she should be able to course by mid-March, which would be awesome!
